Wages

Wages in Hawaii

It is a payment, in general of financial nature, that a worker in Hawaii recieves in exchange for his or her labor from his or her employer. In addition to a federal minimum wage, in the United States, a number of states also have their own minimum wages, codified either in a state statute or in the state's constitution. See the case of Hawaii in this Hawaii legal encyclopedia. Many employment (read more on employment in the U.S. here) pieces of legislation (such as the case of minimum wage regulations) were enacted as protective labor legislation.
